It seems: *There may be some scientists who did some unethical things, but *We don't know this for sure because quotes are taken out of context and were meant for personal use. We all write differently when we think it's private. *Even if these scientists did act unethically, it does not negate the mass of data collected by the rest of the world. There is just too much consensus from too many divergent (that is, don't have the same, or even mutually supporting, agendas) sources to suggest a conspiracy. *So far, you'll see that people with a strong opinion on global warming already had their opinion before all this came out. *Time will be our greatest ally in knowing whether this is relevant. As a layman, I'll wait to see whether this has any real effect on the global warming debate. But to suggest, as you have, that this is proof of a conspiracy, or worse yet, to suggest that this means global warming is not happening, is just too much conclusion.
